About Domain

How teams actually get better at leading

We run live webinars on team leadership for people across Canada — from first-time managers to senior leads who want a clearer picture of what they're doing and why it works.

Where this started

Domain began in Ottawa in 2017 with a straightforward observation — leadership training was either expensive in-person workshops or dry self-paced modules. Neither format gave participants room to ask questions or hear how others solved the same problems.

Live webinars changed that equation. Facilitators can adjust in real time, participants can push back, and the conversation stays grounded in actual situations rather than theory from a textbook.

The focus has always been team leadership specifically — not broad management, not executive strategy. What happens in the space between a lead and their four or twelve direct reports.

The people who run sessions

Small core team. Each person has spent years working in or directly with teams before moving into facilitation.

Participant Experience

Handles everything participants encounter before, during, and after a session. Tracks what questions come up repeatedly and feeds that back into how programs are structured.

How sessions are structured

Each webinar is built around a specific leadership challenge. Not a theme — an actual problem people are dealing with right now, named plainly.

Live, not recorded

Every session runs in real time. Participants can ask questions, challenge the framing, and hear what others in the room are dealing with. Replays are available but the live format is intentional.

Single topic per session

Giving feedback. Running a difficult one-on-one. Handling a team that's lost trust in a decision. One subject, explored properly, with time for real discussion.

Open to any region

Scheduling covers multiple time zones and sessions are designed for participants who may not be near any major city. Reliable access is treated as a requirement, not an afterthought.

Facilitated, not presented

The person running the session guides the conversation — they don't lecture. Participants work through problems together, which is closer to how learning actually sticks.
